As Regional Medical Manager you will be responsible to support the strategy and the implementation of core medical activities to ensure the safe, effective, and appropriate use of Canagliflozin in Latin America;
Exercise the leadership of Regional Medical Affairs strategic objectives and plans for Canagliflozin and CVM portfolio under development ensuring adequate resourcing, in alignment with patient needs, business priorities and Janssen’s 2020 strategy to be a groundbreaking medical innovator;
Lead medical strategies and cultivate co-creation of all activities within the CVM Integrated Brand Value Team (IBVT);
Lead the Canagliflozin Regional Medical Affair Teams (RMAT) cultivating efficient communication, education and alignment with the MAF managers for all Latin American operating companies;
Also facilitate partnerships with other regional and global functions and organizations as a member of the CVM Global Medical Affairs Teams (GMATs);
Influence in the input as required for pipeline developmental progression and successful product launch and commercialization;
Driving consistency and alignment of Medical Affairs strategies, goals and activities for CVM within region, with focused attention on both the growing complexity within the regulatory and payer environment as well as the diversity of each country’s healthcare systems by leading the CVM team;
Craft positive relationships with external partners (payers, healthcare providers and patients) advocating for Janssen’s CVM products and reputation.
Previous experience in pharma industry, ideally in Medical Affairs; If have Post-graduation or experience in diabetes, cardiology would be ideal;
A Medical degree is crucial to develop this role into the organization; Also a Medical residency or a specialization is desirable;
Deep knowledge of drug development process, including: clinical epidemiology, randomized controlled trials, and publication plans;
Scientific and technical thought leadership with knowledge or learning agility to rapidly acquire understanding of health care compliance, study execution, pharmacovigilance, clinical/medical drug development, benefit risk management and regulatory affairs;
Interest to work in a complex and diverse organization;
Capacity to work through complexity, difficulty, and adverse situations with agility and flexibility;
Dream and ability for working with multifunctional teams;
Fluent in English is a requirement and Spanish is desirable;
Availability to travel 20% of time.
