The Construction Coordinator functions as an assistant to the Project Manager. The Construction Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, leading, and following up on workshops to be performed during the combined Selection Phase and Definition Phase studies. Additionally the Construction Coordinator will be responsible for developing the Class II Schedule and shall provide direct input to the development of the Class II CAPEX. Construction Coordinator is responsible coordinating construction permitting drawings and would coordinate with the Construction Contractor. Will be accountable for scheduling work packages and their proper integration into the critical path method (CPM) schedule. The Construction Coordinator has the authority to make work packaging and scheduling decisions after Coordination with the Design Manager and with the approval of the Project Manager.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
•Coordinate with Estimating Lead to provide input to the Class II CAPEX with the objective of meeting Gate 3 Delivery Milestones
•Coordinate with Project Controls Lead to provide input to the Class II Schedule with the objective of meeting Gate 3 Delivery Milestones
•Provides direct input to the Project Execution Plan
•Provides direct input to Procurement Lead to develop the Construction Contractor Contract
•Coordinate, lead, and follow-up on HazID, HazOP, HSEC in Design, Constructability, and Value Engineering Workshops
•Establishes work packages in accordance with the Project Construction Execution Plan and ensures their proper integration into the Class II schedule.
•Compiles, reviews, approves, and releases work packages to the subcontractors and/or superintendents.
•Coordinates RFI responses to Construction Contractor and Coordinates ECNs and FECNs.
•Implements Safety, Quality, Ethical Standards, Lessons Learned, and Performance Management in accordance with Business Policies, Standards, and Guides
Provides technical guidance to others regarding projects and disciplines.
Quality / Continuous Improvement: Independently applies knowledge and ensures compliance with B&V quality program.
Establishes related processes, and promotes a culture that is conducive to quality.
Provides guidance and direction to others.
Supports continuous improvement and change management efforts.
Manages assigned budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
Reviews lower level construction specialist work or assignments.
Establishes work plan to be applied to a given project. Project Coordination: Actively coordinates with all other internal/external team members on complex projects.
Typically responsible for defining project schedules
Client Focus: Responsible for determining identification of key client interests and drivers on projects. Communicates client interests and drivers to project team members and develops approaches to accommodate these concerns in the performance of the work on moderately complex projects. Focuses on client's current needs and situations.
May offer other services to the client.
People Management - (supervision, career development, training, mentoring): Typically oversees performance management, career planning, recognition, learning and development, and corrective actions.
Resource Management - (budgets, tools, processes, project support): Implements resource management strategy.
Manages construction resources for small groups of a single discipline. Resolves resource conflicts and identifies training needs.
Administrative: Administrative responsibilities may include office administration.
Ensures policies, procedures, and processes are effectively implemented and communicated for workgroup.
Ensures adherence to corporate and division programs.
May approve timesheets and expense reports.

Preferred Job Qualifications:
EPC project execution experience as Project Field Engineering Manager.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; 4 year degree preferred. Typically 4+ years construction or construction management and/or design experience in similar facility construction.
