Sulzer is seeking a Rotating Equipment Service – Sales Engineer

Position Summary:

Promote SULZER products and services for pumps, turbines, compressors and other rotating equipment, detect sales opportunities, prepare quotes and follow up with customers. Focused on the Oil & Gas and Energy markets exclusively. They will manage the business completely, from the preparation of budgets and offers, through sending invoices to clients and following-up, unto the assurance of the correct internal execution of the orders and deliveries thereof.

Essential functions:

  • Analyze the needs of the O&G and Power market in Chile, continuing to maintain informed of current trends.

  • Generate and maintain a list of potential clients and contacts.

  • Sell equipment, spare parts, repairs and field service through periodic visits to Energy customers (Generators, Transporters, etc.) and Oil & Gas

  • Collaborate with upper and local management of the Division in the development of new services and markets.

  • Advise clients, meet their needs and resolve their concerns in relation to our products and services.

  • Analyze/ discuss the technical aspects of the price estimates that will form the offers.

  • Prepare technical-commercial quotes.

  • Negotiate and obtain purchase orders complying with the expected annual budget.

  • Track purchase orders, until their completion and validate customer satisfaction.

  • Know the portfolio and strategy of competitors in the market. Secondary responsibilities:

  • Coordination with the Local Management for the correct coordination of the different divisions.

  • Collaboration with local and international Service Centers for the development of activities/ contracts that are achieved in the segments of Service in Oil & Gas and Energy. Qualifications:

  • Mechanical or Industrial Engineer with verifiable experience (10 years) in sales of rotating equipment services (industrial pumps, turbines, compressors, etc.) and with knowledge of the Power and Oil & Gas markets

  • Complete ability to communicate clearly in the Spanish and English languages.

  • Willing to work with multicultural teams.

  • Availability to travel inside and outside of home country.

  • Predisposed for learning and continuous training

  • Technical training or a four year degree at the university level

  • Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in a comparable and /or similar position

  • Have social skills and ability to solve problems in a work group
